Asus South Africa has announced the local pricing and availability for the ROG Ally handheld console.
The news comes as pre-orders for the device have opened for locals.
The model that is available locally comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. It also includes a 7-inch FHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 16GB of onboard RAM. You can find out more about the handheld gaming device in my post on what to know about the ROG Ally.
It is a direct competitor to the Steam Deck, which is available in South Africa through Incredible.

So how much will the new gaming handheld cost locals? It has a price of R15,999 locally.
This makes it slightly cheaper than the Steam Deck, which starts at R16,999 and costs up to R21,499.
Pre-orders have now opened for the ROG Ally. You can submit your order on the Asus South Africa website or through Makro.
The ROG Ally will be available on shelves from 15 June 2023.
