HMD Global has announced the launch of its affordable Nokia C32 smartphone in South Africa.
According to the company, the phone includes a design upgrade and features the highest image quality on a C-series smartphone.

Nokia C32 features
The Nokia C32 is the first C-series smartphone to include a 50MP camera lens. Its design features a toughened glass backing and straight sidewalls along with a two-tone colour scheme, bringing a refresh to the traditional C-series design.
The phone features a 6.52-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display that also includes toughened glass.
For its main camera, it has a dual-lens setup. This includes a 50MP lens and 2MP lens. Meanwhile, on the front, it includes an 8MP selfie camera.
According to HMD Global, its camera capabilities include a bespoke night mode on both the front and back cameras.
In terms of perfomance, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor, 4GB of built-in RAM, and 3GB of virtual RAM. It also has 128GB of onboard storage.
Its 5000mAh battery can also last up to three days, according to the company.
While the smartphone doesn’t support 5G connectivity, it does carry the latest Android OS – Android 13.

Nokia C32 price in South Africa
Available from July, the Nokia C32 has a recommended retail price starting at R2,499.
It is available in the charcoal colour, with availability through MTN and selected retailers.
